Widespread ruin destroys the card with the highest attack. That sounds like targetting to me. It targets the monster with the highest attack, pretty specific. It shouldn't affect Tyrant Dragon.

Don't make up your own definitions you moron. that's not how the targeting rule works.
But yeah, widespread doesnt target. Correct me if im wrong, but any card that targets would require the player to click and choose a card (for example Enemy Controller). Widespread doesnt ask the player to click and choose a monster, and therefore doesnt target.
