What you need in your starting hand:
Maiden, Sage, Stone, Cards of Consonance
What you will always get and auto lose:
Blue-eyes, Dragon Spirit, Mausoleum, Cards of Consonance
Unplayable hand is the same as bricky, btw. This term really make blue eyes live the name.
What occurs to most metas is "bad hand", but never to the point of being "bricky". If it was bricky, you wont called ot meta
This happens because you need a lot of in main deck tribute monsters to use the deck. Those based on extra deck monsters have less problem with bricks since there is no chance to draw those.
