It says that the event is based off of the original series, presumably the Anime. This makes it sound like there will be a special event, meaning that I doubt someone like Bonz or Espa Roba will be the character, as they were just episodic villains (Also RIP Bonz, you tried to mug the wrong guy.). This leaves me with two very broad options---either The Big Five from the DIGITAL WORLD (which would make sense, because Duel Links canon says that Duel Links itself is a digital universe), OR Dartz or Raphael or either of those other two involved with the Seal of Orichalcos. Both Eatos and the Seal itself would be awesome. I don't think Noah Kaiba will be a duelist, due to the fact that his signature card, Shinato, is already available in Electric Overload.
Once again, I'm pretty sure Duel Links bases itself off of the Anime, so they could be added. Remember that in the manga Pegasus got murdered by Bakura, and Bandit Keith was murdered by Pegasus. There's no reason to believe they won't be added.
Pegasus didn't get murdered, also Keith wasn't murdered either. He was alive and dueled against Yugi in the battle city arc.
In the manga Keith got murdered, but not in the anime.
They could add filler LD's but before that they should make the main cast playable.

Hmm yes, but you can also buy the Red-Eyes Black Dragon and Embodiment of Apophis from the Card Trader. I don't think that they would sell it in a box, as it would be almost 100% based on chance. You could spend up to 9950 Gems and not get Shinato (I got lucky and got it around pack 50). With the Card Trader, wait a day or two, and the card you want will arrive.
