Yes, I have tested it with Zane using Cyberdark Keel. After my Avatar King Yaksha destroyed by battle, I activate its effect to destroy yubel in my hand, zane activated Cyberdark Keel's effect to inflict 300 dmg, which caused me to miss the timing to activate destroyed yubel's effect in the graveyard.

Yes, if you destroy the monster then banish its next form, usually from the GY. I've done this a few times to prevent Fire Kings from retrieving it with Fur Hires. I think if you special summon a monster in the chain for Yubel her timing is missed also.
