Do spell speeds not matter in this game?

I attacked with my monster, player activates mirror wall and i chain trap jammer to which he chains interdimensional matter transporter...lost me the match in ranked. Please explain

It's 2018 and I feel spell speed doesn't matter in DL. I'm kinda new to YGO, but even I can notice. In DL you can chain anything to anything anytime.

its happened to me once, only ppl who newbee in playing yugioh that said its legal action

He used another card to take away the monster that isn't affected by the trap jammer. only the mirror wall was countered by the trap jammer not the interdimensional matter transporter.

he's not talking about the resolve order, he's talking about illegal play. Spell speed 3 = Counter trap. at this point only CT's can be chained to a trap jammer (i.e. seven tools of the bandit)

interdimensional is a normal trap therefore has spell speed 2. IDMT is illegal to be used after we have entered spell speed 3. If this happened it's a bug.

I have already statemented 1 way this play can be legal in a previous post.

Another way which this play can be legal is below:

CL 1: Monster Attack
CL 2: Inter dimension
CL 3: Mirror Wall
CL 4: Trap Jammer

Resolves backwards starting from Trap.

Resolve 4: Trap negates/destroy Mirror.
Resolve 3: Mirror. negated/destroyed.
Resolve 2: Inter Dimension actives
Resolve 1: Attacking monster than has a decision to continue attacking or not.

If the player chooses Yes, 2 things can happen.

1) The attacking monster will be re-directed to another monster on the field.

2) The attacking monster will attack life points directly if no other monster is on opponents field.

If the player chooses No, The attack will no longer take place for that monster.

Another way which this play can be legal involves 2 different monsters attacking.

CL 1: Monster Attack 1 on Relinquish
CL 2: Mirror Wall
CL 3: Trap Jammer

Resolves backwards starting from Trap.

Resolve 3: Trap negates/destroy Mirror.
Resolve 2: Mirror. negated/destroyed.
Resolve 1: Attacking monster continues

Relinquish will not die the first time it is hit if it has an equip monster.

The equip monster will die in the place of Relinquish.

The above chain is over & resolved.
Now comes a new chain based on another attack from a different monster!

CL 1: Monster Attack 2 on Relinquish with no equip monster
CL 2: Inter dimension

In order to stop the new chain, The attacking player will need another Trap Jammer or some other card to counter if not the chain resolves!

Resolves backwards starting from Inter.

Resolve 2: Inter. sends Relinquish away.
Resolve 1: Attacking monster than has a decision to continue attacking or not.

Same as before!
These are legal plays which can be done.

What you are saying is illegal.

Inter-dimensional matter transporter can never chain on to trap jammer.

Trap Jammer is a counter-trap.
The only cards which can chain on to a counter-trap is other counter-traps.

Inter dimensional matter transporter is a normal trap card.

It can Never Ever Chain to Trap Jammer!

It is an illegal play by the rules of Yugioh.

i'm pretty sure he chained the trap jammer to mirror wall lol, which cancels out mirror wall but since inter was activated last, it goes first, which i'm assuming is for his opponent's relinquished = next turn you lose.

Lets gather the evidence.

-Speed 2
Mirror Wall
Inter dimensional matter transporter

-Speed 3
Trap Jammer

Monster Attack > Mirror Wall > Trap Jammer

Inter dimensional isn't allowed to chain to Trap Jammer.

If this is what happen, Than a bug has happened.

It is simply possible for Inter Dimensional matter. to chain onto Trap Jammer.

However, are you 100% sure this is the sequence?

If the player, you were facing is smart. He would of double chained!

Monster Attack > Mirror Wall > Inter dimensional > Trap Jammer

Your opponent can change Inter dimension with his own Mirror Wall.

Your Trap Jammer would than cancel out Inter Dimension, but not Mirror Wall!

CL 1: Monster Attack
CL 2: Mirror Wall
CL 3: Inter dimension
CL 4: Trap Jammer

Resolves backwards starting from Trap.

Resolve 4: Trap negates/destroy Inter.
Resolve 3: Inter. negated/destroyed.
Resolve 2: Mirror Wall reduction actives
Resolve 1: Monster half attack continues
Resolve 0: Monster death & sadness
