Is Vanguard skull lair possible?

Only dragons Vanguard uses his effect sends dragons to grave, then use skull lair to pop opponent monster then use chaos zone to summon a monster. Is this viable?

If you ran it with only Dark Dragons, you could combine this with Doomsday Horror, so that you can recycle your graveyard, although, at that point, you might as well run magical merchant
