Is Mausoleum of the Emperor bugged?

My opponent brought out the field spell MAUSOLEUM OF THE EMPEROR. Then he used it to bring out SANGA. I had to hit SANGA to get rid of it. I knew he would activate the effect and cost me 2400 points. It cost me 4800 points and I lost the game. Is MAUSOLEUM bugged? Did the guy cheat? What happened? How did he get double damage? I saved the game, if nobody has a simple answer I'll post it.

I'm sure that he used Titan Showdown skill against you. It was a great combo with Mausoleum. That guy didn't cheat nor the Mausoleum was bugged.
