Why atk-increasing effect due to spell counter doesn't work after halving the atk of a monster?
The atk-increasing effect of Mythical Beast Cerberus and Power of the Guardians doesn't work after the atk of the monster was halved by Riryoku or Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon's effect.

Dark Rebellion says "its ATK becomes half its current ATK", i.e. it sets the ATK to a fixed value. Equip cards that are already equipped won't change the ATK after that.
However, you can increase the ATK with a new equip card.
