Last turn, opp has Rosemary and Bergamot, no spell/trap. I got two traps and no monsters. He declares attack, I activate Widespread Ruin. But Bergamot attacks and wins?

may be he using rose lovers for special summon bergamot (rose lovers effect is unaffected by trap card)
