I use "Dark Paladin" as much as I can to farm everything, since it is my favourite monster in the entire game, and it is useful to farm.
I am trying 3 Versions of my "Dark Paladin" Farm deck:
VERSION A:
2x Dark Magician
2x Buster Blader
2x King of the Swamp
2x Polymerization (2x Glossy)
3x Troop Dragon (1x Glossy)
3x Jar of Greed
1x Inspiration (Prismatic +200 score)
1x Gravekeeper's Vassal
1x Secret Pass to the Treasures (Glossy)
1x Anti-Magic Arrows (Glossy)
2x Union Attack (1x Prismatic, 1x Glossy)
VERSION B:
3x Dark Magician
3x Buster Blader
3x King of the Swamp
2x Polymerization (2x Glossy)
3x Troop Dragon (1x Glossy)
1x Inspiration (Prismatic +200 score)
1x Gravekeeper's Vassal
1x Secret Pass to the Treasures (Glossy)
1x Anti-Magic Arrows (Glossy)
2x Union Attack (1x Prismatic, 1x Glossy)
VERSION C:
3x Dark Magician
3x Buster Blader
2x King of the Swamp
2x Polymerization (2x Glossy)
3x Troop Dragon (1x Glossy)
1x Jar of Greed
1x Inspiration (Prismatic +200 score)
1x Gravekeeper's Vassal
1x Secret Pass to the Treasures (Glossy)
1x Anti-Magic Arrows (Glossy)
2x Union Attack (1x Prismatic, 1x Glossy)
Here are some problems I have encountered against Syrus so far and ideas on how to deal with them:
1.- I always try to get the "Effect Damage Only" win, since it grants you +1000 in the final score; but I believe that it is too greedy and they have prepared Syrus very well to counter it. If you have to choose between destroying a potential threat and deal damage to Syrus and keeping it on 'Standstill' (Sorry for the Magic The Gathering reference to reference stalling the Game, but I believe...
...that it is too greedy and they have prepared Syrus very well to counter it. If you have to choose between destroying a potential threat and deal damage to Syrus and keeping it on 'Standstill' (Sorry for the Magic The Gathering reference to reference stalling the Game, but I believe it is worth it) to achieve the "Only Effect Damage" bonus; choose to destroy the threat. Syrus is well prepared...
2.- If Syrus has a "Drillroid", destroy it ASAP. He can change the battle position of your "Dark Paladin" using "No Entry" to Defense Mode and destroy it with Drillroid so you cannot 'Standstill' the game.
3.- "Inverse Universe" can negate the effect of your "Dark Paladin" making it only a 2400 ATK monster, so "Super Vehicroid Jumbo Drill" will obliterate it
4.- NEVER place a "Dark Paladin" in Defense Mode. Syrus has "Shield Crush" and you want to keep your cards to negate "Polymerization" or "Vehicroid Connection Zone"
5.- "Troop Dragon" thins the deck and gives me protection against "Super Vehicroid Jumbo Drill" if I ever happen to have one anywhere. I usually start setting one of these...
...First turn, they give you protection for two turns (1 Monster on their 2nd Turn and 2 Monsters on their 4th turn), or you can take some damage but still be alive (2 Monsters in their 3rd turn and 3 monsters in their 5th turn); but I believe "Troop Dragon" is worth it for any "Dark Paladin" Farm
I am not a good player, but I thought I could share my ideas with you so I might be able to help you
By the way, I am playing without paying, FREE TO PLAY.
I obtained those cards only with Gems from Leveling Up characters, doing events, and beating stages (Stage 32 in DM, Stage 10 in GX)
Very useful tips, thank you. I also use Dark Paladin farm most of the time as it's useful and quick and in a lot of situation. Troop Dragon is a good idea, I'll try this out.
Well, I am farming Syrus consistently with 9K+ Score... (Thanks to the +1000 Score bonus that we have now)
I would appreciate a constructive criticism, and I mean it (^_^)
