Is this a bug or intended?
I attacked my opponent, when he used this card on my second monster (I had two monsters on the field). Opponent's monster left the field.
My second monster lost the attack, but the first monster stopped attacking and just missed his turn.
Yep, precisely activated during the damage step by putting the effect activation toggle to ON :
you will not be asked to choose if you want to continue the attack, essentially negating the attack.
But this is not the case, for example, when you attack an Amazoness monster and another appears due to Onslaught effect.
The game allows you to continue the attack, and even asks if you want to change the target. What is the difference? It is Damage Step in both cases
Regardless of what you say this card is ridiculously broken and should be limited
This card directly alter ATK/DEF, which mean it can be activated during damage step. Replay won't happen if it is activated this way.
Amazoness Onslaught does not directly alter ATK/DEF, so it cannot be activated during damage step. The effect usually activated between attack declaration and damage step. Since the timing is before damage step, replay is possible.
It's not because it doesn't target, that was a separate note from the note saying it cannot be activated in Damage Step.
Onslaught's effect cannot be activated during Damage Step because the ATK gain only happens if you Special Summon, and you cannot manually Special Summon during Damage Step.
"Manually" being the keyword here - the Special Summon from hand effect requires manual activation.
If an opponent monster is attacking and you activate World Legacy Clash during battle step rather than damage step, which is a misplay, then REPLAY WILL HAPPEN, and he can choose a new target (if any), attack directly, or not to attack.
So in my instance I attacked with CyberDark Edge equipped with Cyberdark Cannon and the removed it with WLC, I didn't get to re attack NOR did I get the trigger from Cyberdark Cannon. Why would that be? They should both occur in the same phase right?
As for Cannon's effect, my guess is that it's the same ruling as when the monster equipped with Cannon is flipped face-down, which causes the monster to be no longer valid to be equipped by Cannon, so Cannon gets sent to the GY without being equipped, as a result, its effect doesn't activate.
Zach, a Replay only happens if the number of monster on the OPPONENT's field changes, and only during Battle Step.
My answer about Cannon's effect remains the same as above though, it's likely due to Cannon being sent to the Graveyard in a state where it is no longer equipped, as after the banishing, WLC drops the ATK of the target, so there's a tiny window where Cannon lost its equipped monster.
Gosh!
Why these guys can't understand the difference between BATTLE STEP and DAMAGE STEP? It's one of basic things in this game, and you can learn about it anywhere on the internet. So why?
you have the right to have a different opinion, but
the game is 🔥 if you need to open wikipedia or youtube pages on the Internet in order to understand what just happened
Actually Duel Links has a built-in wikia about dueling called Duel School. It's not optimized but enough to understand about things like Battle Step and Damage Step.
This is misinformation, dueling lessons explain nothing about how you can use World Legacy Clash card to stop 2 monsters of your opponent at once: prevent one from attacking and reduce the attack points of the second
There are also many typos in the card descriptions in different language versions of application
For example, in russian version text description of Block dragon says "cannot be destroyed except by effect" instead of "cannot be destroyed by battle". I had to open the original site just to understand what happened and why I lost
Since it changes attack, world legacy clash can be activated during the damage step. You use it to banish your monster that is being attacked and reduce the attack of a different opponents monster than the one attacking to zero and since your monster left the field during the damage step, the opponent does not get an attack replay and his other monster now has 0 attack, getting rid of two attacks
You can banish your monster that is being attacked during the damage step, which can be done since world legacy clash changes attack points, and since your monster left the field during the damage step, your opponent does not get to pick a new attack target (aka an attack replay), and use world legacy clash to reduce a different monsters attack to 0.
