Marik Ishtar never offically dueled beyond when he possessed Strings as his dark half did all the dueling during the finals. So what would his ace card be? Ra or Slifer? Revival Jam? He would not bring anything new to the game beyond a character as most of the cards associated with Marik have already appeared through Yami Marik. Atleast Lumis and Umbra brought a new animation.
The other issue with Marik atleast in the English dub of the game is that because for Yami Marik they did not use the editing effects on his actor's voice he sounds the same as his normal character's voice so how would they differentiate the two? Would they give him Ra's sphere form as his ace? While it is a cool card it is not really a good ace card for this game.
At this rate, I just them to release normal Marik so that you guys will stop arguing about him already. Seriously, enough is enough already. Either he comes or he doesn't, and that is it.
