Explain to me why that never happens then. If I'm wrong I'll admit it, I just want to know WHY. And if you know ... probably could have just said why?

I'd imagine it works like Ancient Gear Fist, in that it still has to be on the field for it to activate.

I mean it's Power tool dragon so it usually stays on the field, and even then I've never seen it activate.

I'm talking about C&D staying on the field. If Power Tool Dragon sends it to the graveyard to save itself...

Ill explain, the card says "an opponent monster that battles the equiped monster is destroyed at the end of the damage step". The thing is power tool dragon send it to the graveyard before the damage step so the equip isnt in the field anymore , sorry if im wrong with something i dont have a good english

If the card needed to be on the field to activate this effect then it would say so on the card itself.

It does say it needs to be on the field.

It specify "the equipped monster". When it is on the Graveyard it is no longer equipped to a monster, so the "equipped monster" part is no longer valid, and thus the effect does not activate.

The norm is that any effect on an equip spell stops applying the moment it is no longer equipped.

That's not the bug, but the bug is when the control of the equipped monster switches, Double Tool C & D is destroyed, unlike other equip cards that stay on the field.

That's because, unlike most equips, Double Tool can only be equipped to a monster you control (as it says). An equipped Equip Spell will be destroyed if its target is no longer legal for any reason. (For example, Noble Arms - Destiny will destroy itself if the equipped monster is no longer a Warrior.)

I had a glitch where the card I destroyeds effect still activated.

The equip spell card is supposed to negate effects of effect monsters you destroy which it doesn't always do and on top of that the second effect only works half the time and doesn't actually destroy there monster

The equip spell work just fine.

The text of C&D "An opponent monster that battles the equiped monster is destroyed at the END of the damage step."
It will only be resolved if it continues on the field at the END of the damage step.

If Power Tool Dragon send it to the graveyard to protect itself before END of damage step, the C&D can't do anything because it's not more on the field.

- BECAUSE the text of Double C&D says: "Level 4 or higher MACHINE-TYPE MACHINE-TYPE MACHINE-TYPE "Morphtronic" monster you control." and RADION IS A THUNDER-TYPE.
