considering the deck was meta for only a very short time, I guess the AI never gets accustomed to the deck.

This has nothing to do with being meta. The Auto Duel AI sucks. They even suck worse when using meta decks.

Well, that's normal, since auto duel AI is meant to help you learn the basics, not to make intermediate-advanced combos like in this deck while you're doing something else.

Just give the Auto Duelist 7 or 8 Monsters w/ the rest being OP traps to win 90% of the time

Last year auto-ai did decent and high win rate moves all the time.

Since a recent update several months ago they make the most stupid moves ever.

Old AI > New AI.

Konami saw that F2P players abused auto-duel too much to farm gems. They made the AI worst to make farming gems more painful as F2P.

nah, even some whales abused auto-duel because they're too lazy to play even just for a moment.
