That will make sense and force everyone to use archetype specific spell/trap. Many staples got into forbidden list in TCG. You can easily find hundred of cards in the list.
Ah now that makes more sense. I was like, “limit 3 is literally the regular limit in the TCG because limiting cards works differently than duel links:|”. I got you now
Floodgate, Canadia and fiendish at 3, these cards are only stall tools. Pick one, the one that fits your deck better not all of them.
karma n Raigeki at 2 if any other deck that benefits from gy happens to be released you control them by limiting one card to 2 so they don't abuse these cards
IMO, Floodgate should be limited because it permanently shut down the monster on the field, but Canadia should NOT be limited as it's a more fair version of Floodgate.
(Canadia is also more versatile btw, Floodgate can only be activated on summon)
Yeah floodgate should probably be at 3. Idk about fiendish. That thing can actually be detrimental and jam up a zone if that monster is xyz, synchrod, or tributed.
Just wait the worst is yet to come. If you look at the current state of the TCG/OCG, it’s rampant with negation boss monsters(we have a couple of them already). Those 100tick turns are going to feel unbearably longer
Yeah, limit all good traps. Let all overpowered effect monsters clap you in turn 2.
You do realise we have 5-6 good generic trap cards in a format full of overpowered effect monsters?
"You do realise we have 5-6 good generic trap cards in a format full of overpowered effect monsters?" you speak from my heart .so true.i would add the mistake was the overpowered monsters not the staples.but the mistake is letting overpowered monsters use staples.there should be a filter to not let invoked use for eg stall cards.like canadia and floodgate
What you shouldn't be allowed is to run stall cards like Floodgate and Canadia in the same deck--no.they are fine.but fiedish chain and floodgate and/or karma.
i use floodgate and canadia together 2-3 ratio and the opponents can beat me from it so dont try to tell that its op.
and ofc fiendish chain and karma cut too.but letting 🔥 invoked stall even more is not good.and the solution is not to punish everybody for it but to limit them so that certain decks like invoked cannot use it.why would my normal deck should be punished for invoked hm?
*but to limit them in a certain way.like a filter that invoked cards cannot be used together with the aforementioned traps.easy filter could be done but no komoney punishes all instead if will be liimited.
but fiedish chain and floodgate and/or karma.-but they are not.
for eg stall cards.like canadia and floodgate-and ofc and ofc fiendish chain and karma cut too.
Deck today are 2 kind:
Slow decks that run many staple traps, usually 5-6 (eg invoked, shiranuis)
Fast OTK oriented decks that run 0 traps (eg blackwing, crystons, dragounity)
trap heavy deck vs trap heavy is a slow paced until everyone runs out of deffences.
slow deck vs otk deck is based on the cosmic cyclones/trunade you got. You either win or loose in turn 2.
