0 defense its very easy to beat by block attack, enemy controller, sphere kuriboh, windstorm of estaria, labyrinth of nightmare, etc.

Atlantean Pikeman and Clown Zombie are both more effective at using Amulet of Ambition.

Also, Jerry Beans Man's DEF is still pitiful even with Amulet. It's not even going to survive a monster that's weak for its Level such as Serpent Night Dragon or Spirit of the Mountain while in Defence.
