You dont understand the text of the card. It means "If your opponent controls at least one monster" ? It still can be used if your opponent has a monster face down too. Then you discard 1 monster from hand and summon another from deck or gy. Its very good in many situations for Shiranui combos
The card works fine, the opponent can control more than 1 monster when u use it. Also it is a QUICK EFFECT, so you discard ex: spectral sword and then special summon solitaire for your coming turn. Meaning u already hv a sword in the gy for instant synchro + a solitaire to use. It can be called broken
This card is getting hit no matter what. It starts combos for free basically, on turn 4 (your second turn) you can have a full field of 2500+ beatsticks, you can quickly use banish effects of trap card and gain the banish effects of the shiranuis. There is literally no reason why it isnt A tier rofl
If you don't play or know what shiranui does stop writing, you made yourself look like a fool, this cards is a wonder in shiranui decks (note the difference with backrownui) and with this combo shiranui became successful without traps.
