Because win is not everything. Fun is what players should aim for. Thats why we have deck diversity.
Personally, i prefer playing with a my favourite anime character deck and spam cool Kaiba's videos and lines during a duel rather than using a boring deck. Even if BEWD tends to loose vs tier 1 NK, there is not a better feeling than crashing your oppennent with a blue eyes ultimate dragon.
I'm playing this because who doesn't want to be a f-ing dragon? I'm also sick of solitaire decks that spend 15 minutes each turn. And you just watch at how they shuffle cards, change equipment or summon one monster with another almost endlessly, and you lose on the next turn
The game's turn is actually clocking at 200-or-so seconds.
So when it feels like 15 minutes to you, it means that you don't have enough patient to play this game. Game that award you with a WIN if you wait on people who enjoy playing with their cards too much.
I also noticed some people like to waste time even more, instead of attacking directly and finish the game, they keeping summoning monsters (even if your hand is empty)
