Scud is a lovable character. You kids need to grow up and learn there are people outside of loved-hero or loved-antagonist context whom deserve the same respect.
p.s. just because the movie didnt show he dueled, doesnt mean hes not a duelist. Its Domino City, lads. Everybody love to duel!
Of course Tristan could mop the floor with scud. Scud's personality seems to be the persona of a RL bully. Pick on the weak but when someone fights back, they get scared. And we seen Tristan not get scared when he fought Rare Hunters or Pegasus Guard. Only Bakura seemed to freak him out a little

the movie establishes that everyone needs to register their deck to even be a citizen in domino city as kaiba corp basically owns the city
