I find it interesting Dragunity is both dragons and winged beasts. I don't know much about the card lore or stories behind it., but maybe a unity of sky monsters between winged beasts and dragons?
During the DT story, Dragunities were a tribe of warriors of the Mist Valley who wielded the power to sinchronize with their dragons ro defeat any opponent. They ultimately sacrificed themself to create the Dragunity spear for the Zefra, giving them a chance against the Infernoid. Yes, even in the canon, they were legimately cool
