They'll gain the effects, but only for as long as they remain on the field. If they are banished via World Legacy Clash then they would not retain the effects, as they were special summoned by an effect other than the ritual summon
Core can help against Canadia, but floodgate can shut down Vendreds if you aren't careful. Of course that also applies to most meta-decks (Barring sub-terrors)
