DM has lost a lot of its shine since the banlist. Magician rod limitation was not the main problem though, but the fact theat the deck is one dimensional and slow for our meta. Going first is usually easy win but going second vs mill decks is instant loose. You bassically pulls 1 combo. If circle is gone its over.

This sort of outrageous comment is too common. I always read crap like this, lose one card and you instantly lose the duel, have one monster returned to the hand and you instantly lose the duel, sneeze and you instantly lose the duel, etc. Ever heard of other cards, draw power, recovery, etc?
DM decks cant easily recover. Theyvqre really explosive but if you dont manage to win by turn 4 you usually loose. Try to win a Karakuri or Cryston deck and tgen come back to tell us your experience.
Gigacope. They have extreme recovery power, more than any deck. They'll just activate a second navigation and even a goddamn third. I lost to BM decks having destroyed all their 3 circles without them getting the second effect off a single time. It's too much searching and too many extreme beaters with free negations. Pretty much an invincible deck that can't lose no matter what.

Wow, imagine thinking losing 1 key card out of 3 is instantly lose. What does a trap card this deck can't use have to do with anything? Did you even know Circle is at full 3 copies? Learn the basics about cards first.
Trust me, DM is far from unbeatable. I play a DM deck and if you don’t get circle or rod in your starting hand, you’re fcked for the whole game. You really have to pray for those cards in your starting hand to possibly win.
Circle is the only winning condition DM have. The other one is eye of timeus/dark cavarly (if you choose to run it). If you dont get either of them, gl winning with the vanilla dark magicians.
