Jester+Silent magician was a good old dl combo: summon jester-tribute for silent mag-get dm in hand & keep card advantage. However, this deck was bricky, even back then when the meta was slower. Today meta is faster & spell cards are not what they used to be. Some decks run just 2-3 spells (see td, water etc) or they use tons of traps. So silent magicians are just like fat vanillas in most cases.
