this game has is long dead and its killers are boxes which konami will continue to add no matter what'll happen to the game . i dont even know all the cards in 4 past boxes. they just want players to spend money and a player who wants to keep up with the boxes certainly should ... this game was my favourite , i spent a lot of my time on it and this is the end i suppose:(
ps: dont tell me to stop playing if you dont like the game and others do cuz this is just for finding how many players agree with me
Adding more boxes is the best way to add more new cards to the game. new cards mean new strategy and new decks. make the game more interesting. and i think this game gave us a easier way to get gems than the other game. by the event, pvp duel, level up, etc.
Problem is if you want to progress with the game as F2P player and open every new box you wont have enough of gems for that, and as new player you still need to open old boxes.
Anybody who has above average IQ knows that Duel Links (in terms of business/$) works exactly like the TCG. You need to spend/invest wisely. As a rule, always treat your free gems like real $and STOP wasting it on garbage cards/BOXes.
I'm a f2p since the beginning of this game and I can tell you that's its 100% possible to build competitive deck without paying for it. But in this case you have to buy wisely and play a lot. But isn't it the purpose finally?
Releasing boxes keeps this game alive, the game would be dead if they didn't release any boxes anymore. They just release boxes too fast so f2p/small spender can't keep up, unless you saving your gems alot. Back then boxes are NOT released this fast.
But if you don't felt like to keep up, try playing Yugioh console games, you can have all cards without any of them getting update.
I like that they continuously release new cards. I want to choose them for my deck myself. And it seem the card doesn't enough. For me the rate is ok or a bit slow. It seem to be conflict that you say it is long dead but dont tell me to stop playing ..no matter what(feel that way)=addicting I feel the same as you at first when I'm a collector, try to keep all 3.
