What is the point on keep Cyber Angels monsters and Machine Angel Ritual on the banlist while Neos Fusion by itself is more broken and used in almost every deck? Ah, is to force players to buy EX decks with real money.
Except it's not more broken. Cyber Angel Dakini is a much, much stronger card than Elemental HERO Brave Neos will ever be. Brave Neos being more common doesn't mean it's more of a problem.
Except by the fact that Brave Neos is way easier to summon, can search more protection to itself and dosen't have restritions to be used in another deck.
What make Dakini broken back in the day was the fact that special summons was way harder to do and protection to destrution was rare. Today Subterror, Metaphys, Six Samurai and even Neos can take care of her.
What makes Dakini broken is the free removal it provides, which is still relevant. Cyber Angels were, and are, an aggressive deck. They don't intend to stick cards on the field for very long anyway.
Neos Fusion's power lies in what it can send from the Deck. It's much less aggressive than what Cyber Angels do, however. There's a reason pure Neos decks don't see a ton of play...
"free removal" that is choosen by the oponent. Again, special summon was harder to do, today a border of 2 or 3 monster is easy to make and even if you can't do it, there is more backcrown that can remove her without destruction.
Neos Fusion is a free monster, protection and Foolish Burial in one card. It's a +2 card. There is 3 reasons for why it's used in almost every deck.
Free removal is free removal. It drastically increases the chances of an OTK even in the relatively rare event (decks that can do this typically don't turn 1 without a god-tier hand) they DO have 3 monsters.
Neos Fusion is arguably more consistent (it takes less cards, but you also have no way to search it), but its OTK potential is much lower. It's an engine, not a deck-type.
You have to draw Dakini to summon it, while Brave Neos is simply hiding in Extra Deck. Also Machine Angel Ritual can only use materials from your hand or field, not milling from the deck. But I am really sure Konami won't unlimit those cards, because they simply thought : "If old cards still shine most people won't spend money"
Some people might think EX Structure Deck is way cheaper than main box. It's because they watched too much youtubers, they forget that a lot of people in real life would rather create new account every couple new boxes than spending money on JPEG
Dakini is less consistent, but more powerful. That is why decks are built around it. Brave Neos is never a deck's win condition. It just helps out the deck's actual gameplan, adding a little more muscle in the proc. They're both good in different ways. The fact they're both a 2000-something ATK monster with "built-in" protection doesn't make them similar enough that they're comparable in that way.
