Is there any good combo anyone knows that works with this card?
I mean combos isn't already hard countered by the annoying un-targettable >3000 stats omnipresent meta like in the discussion below.
If her, master and a blue eyes are in your graveyard and alternative is in your deck you can do a 1 card combo. Normal summon guiding light, SS priestess. Target her with master, she targets GL. You SS BE from gy, add BEWD+Alternative to hand, self SS alternative, pop 1 card.
For 1 card you at least have 2 beat stick+1 pop, and maybe 1 banish/negate.
Can someone explain to me why Konami makes easily available cards with an effect as nice as Priestess's only to "make sure" that it only works to support the most P2W cards?
It's like saying, if you want your F2P Priestess with Eyes of Blue card to show its true power then purchase our P2W cards.
This card will shine once they release alternatives as a card. We dont know for sure how konami will sell that card by the time it come ( hopefully not another stratos method).
That untargetable card could be dealt with Twin burst in the future btw.
Those stalls deck give me a nightmare. last week I had my 3 Blue Eyes Floodgated and I had no way to tribute, remove them from the field, etc., and I decked out, levaving him with no monster/backrow and 100 LP.
So, was anyone able to test out if Priestess with Eyes of Blue works on a face-down Blue-Eyes affected with Floodgate? I really need to know before I start buying this box.
I'm a beginner and I'm really fed-up with this cheaty trap card.
DLM is not an option for him since you must pay a subscription and all.
Also he comes from another TCG to test the waters here. Then no one answered his first question. Nice first impression and nice way to welcome newcomers guys.
If we keep doing this DL will SURELY thrive.
To answer your question, I don't know since I don't play BE or Floodgate.
Unfortunately, no. Priestess wouldn´t be able to activate that effect, because she specifically requires a Blue-Eyes monster you control. In YGO, face-down monsters lose, among other things, their names. Thus, a face-down BEWD wouldn´t be able to be targeted because at that time, its name is unknown: https://yugioh.fandom.com/wiki/Face-down
The combo would go like this: 1) Use DSOD Kaiba´s Skill that turns your face-up BEWD into Blue Eyes Alternative Dragon 2) Use its effec to destroy any opponent´s monster 3) Use Priestess effect to return BEAD back to your deck 4) Use the Spell Melody of Awakening Dragon to bring a copy of BEWD AND BEAD to your hand 5) Summon BEAD via its effect back to the field 6)Destroy yet another monster
Not only you get rid of two opposing monsters, Priestess will be back in the field too, so you can use her to summon a Lv 9 Synchro monster with BEAD, bypassing its main drawback of not being able to attack the turn it activates its destroy effect. Not bad, huh?
The thing is, I thought the developers usually made it so that those kinds of support monsters have a good synergy with the whole archetype. Not just for 1 monster. Hence I was wondering in which scenario I would shuffle dragons other than Bead.
Not bad though. Would be better if Alternative didn't target I guess. Or if the shuffle was quick play.
Don't give up Brother with Eyes of Blue. Konami did reprint Gearfried and give him the ability to destroy spell/trap without targetting. I wouldn't be surprised if they reprinted a UR version of priestess that has Spell speed 2 shuffle effect.
Imagine shuffling your BE all the time in response to their plays. And please, remove the only 1 effect per turn. We aren't in 2010 any more.
