Priestess with Eyes of Blue | Decks and Tips

Anonymous
Is there any good combo anyone knows that works with this card? I mean combos isn't already hard countered by the annoying un-targettable >3000 stats omnipresent meta like in the discussion below.
Anoymous
If her, master and a blue eyes are in your graveyard and alternative is in your deck you can do a 1 card combo. Normal summon guiding light, SS priestess. Target her with master, she targets GL. You SS BE from gy, add BEWD+Alternative to hand, self SS alternative, pop 1 card.
For 1 card you at least have 2 beat stick+1 pop, and maybe 1 banish/negate.

If Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon & Alternative WD get released Priestess = consistent turn 1 Twin Burst. That would be cheating indeed.

Is that the Overpowered combo that Blue Eyes need to become tier 1?

So, from what I read Priestess will mostly be good when BE will become even more P2W with Alternative Dragon?

No one managed to make a decent F2P deck with this card? I'm disappointed with the game developers

Can someone explain to me why Konami makes easily available cards with an effect as nice as Priestess's only to "make sure" that it only works to support the most P2W cards?

It's like saying, if you want your F2P Priestess with Eyes of Blue card to show its true power then purchase our P2W cards.

You've just answered your own question.

Lol. Yeah, the post answered its own question.

But Priestess being the best support card ever for Alternative White Dragon doesn't necessarily mean she only works well with it.

I wonder what other good usage she could have though.
Anoymous
This card will shine once they release alternatives as a card. We dont know for sure how konami will sell that card by the time it come ( hopefully not another stratos method).
That untargetable card could be dealt with Twin burst in the future btw.

Did you think about Floodgate Trap Hole?
Priestess says: target 1 "Blue-Eyes" monster you control.

So face-down dead Blue Eyes is not a problem.

What? Really?

This card counters Floodgate?

Those stalls deck give me a nightmare. last week I had my 3 Blue Eyes Floodgated and I had no way to tribute, remove them from the field, etc., and I decked out, levaving him with no monster/backrow and 100 LP.

Can someone confirm this please?

So, was anyone able to test out if Priestess with Eyes of Blue works on a face-down Blue-Eyes affected with Floodgate? I really need to know before I start buying this box.

I'm a beginner and I'm really fed-up with this cheaty trap card.

So no one can answer a question to help a F2P beginner? Well Duel Links Community is worse than Hearthstone.

I guess Hearthstone IS the better F2P game between the two.

Anoymous
What does even f2p meaning in this case?
Is f2p card is the one you got from card trader? A non box card? Dont make it hard for yoourself

Try to ask your question on Duel Links Meta. They're more helpful. Or go to any yugioh forum. This site will not help you!

DLM is not an option for him since you must pay a subscription and all.

Also he comes from another TCG to test the waters here. Then no one answered his first question. Nice first impression and nice way to welcome newcomers guys.

If we keep doing this DL will SURELY thrive.

To answer your question, I don't know since I don't play BE or Floodgate.

I have hope a BE player replies to you.

Unfortunately, no. Priestess wouldn´t be able to activate that effect, because she specifically requires a Blue-Eyes monster you control. In YGO, face-down monsters lose, among other things, their names. Thus, a face-down BEWD wouldn´t be able to be targeted because at that time, its name is unknown: https://yugioh.fandom.com/wiki/Face-down

Thanks for the detailed answer. As a beginner I was starting to lose hope in the DL community.

Too bad for this then. Fear Floodgate I shall.

Anoymous
No problem. Anytime.

Afraid so. Floodgate isn´t one of the best disruption cards in DL right now for nothing.

Glad that we could provide some help to a beginner.
Now that we know the shuffle effect doesn't help against Floodgate, what's it actually useful for?

In what kind of situation will "shuffle a BE you control" help us win a match?

Anoymous
The combo would go like this: 1) Use DSOD Kaiba´s Skill that turns your face-up BEWD into Blue Eyes Alternative Dragon 2) Use its effec to destroy any opponent´s monster 3) Use Priestess effect to return BEAD back to your deck 4) Use the Spell Melody of Awakening Dragon to bring a copy of BEWD AND BEAD to your hand 5) Summon BEAD via its effect back to the field 6)Destroy yet another monster

Continuation
Not only you get rid of two opposing monsters, Priestess will be back in the field too, so you can use her to summon a Lv 9 Synchro monster with BEAD, bypassing its main drawback of not being able to attack the turn it activates its destroy effect. Not bad, huh?

Anoymous
The thing is, I thought the developers usually made it so that those kinds of support monsters have a good synergy with the whole archetype. Not just for 1 monster. Hence I was wondering in which scenario I would shuffle dragons other than Bead.
Not bad though. Would be better if Alternative didn't target I guess. Or if the shuffle was quick play.

Not bad

Don't give up Brother with Eyes of Blue. Konami did reprint Gearfried and give him the ability to destroy spell/trap without targetting. I wouldn't be surprised if they reprinted a UR version of priestess that has Spell speed 2 shuffle effect.

Imagine shuffling your BE all the time in response to their plays. And please, remove the only 1 effect per turn. We aren't in 2010 any more.

Anoymous
That's not an iconic card so it won't get a retrained version. But I guess we might get some other "with Eyes of Blue" card in the future.
<< Anonymous
Anoymous
But, she is literally Kisara when she matures and reaches her peak.

Since she is Seto's Waifu I believe she should be as iconic, or even more than Gearfried since that guy is no one's waifu.
<< Anonymous
Anoymous
Even if they reprint a UR version of priestess the way you described it, I'm not sure a lot of people would use her.
<< Anonymous
Anoymous
Why is Seto Kaiba's waifu the weakest least used Eyes of Blue card?
<< Anonymous
Anoymous
But Maiden with Eyes of Blue is canonically Kisara...
<< Anonymous
Anoymous
Yeah, but Priestess is Kisara when she grows up and becomes one of the most important person to Kaiba. If she somehow survived.

So Priestess is supposed to be the strongest ever Blue Eyes card.

Anoymous
I thought Kisara WAS an adult in the anime...
