Will just put the statistics here as to why Dark Paladin is efficient, probability and statistics-wise.
Out of 20 cards, probability that your first hand is a Fusion material card:
12/20 = 0.6 or 60%
First draw is a:
Type A (Buster) - 4/20 = 20%
Tybe B (DM) - 2/20 = 10%
Type C (Subs) - 6/20 = 30%
Type D (Null) - 8/20 = 40%
Out of 19 cards, probability that your second hand is compatible/useful with:
Type A (Buster) - 8/19 = 42%
Type B (DM) - 10/19 = 53%
Type C (Subs) - 7/19 = 37%
Type D (Null) - 12/19 = 63%
Out of 18 cards, probability that your third hand is compatible/useful with:
Type A (Buster) - 8/18 = 44%
Type B (DM) - 10/18 = 56%
Type C (Subs) - 7/18 = 39%
Type D (Null) - 12/18 = 67%
And so on. Notice the Type D (null)? It gets better and better until your fifth hand draw, or if you drew second. Above probabilities does not even account double draw, second hand being a useful card, nor inclusion of "Poly" as useful fusion materials.
I forgot, drawing Poly doesn't even matter. Draw sense: water will save all your poly problems. Also, I'm testing Dark Magic Curtain as replacement for one Hex card. It might help against FTKs and your LP will be lowered to 2000, so you can easily trigger your skill and fusion summon the next turn.
does DP deck really need to be this expensive?I just know I have one Dark Paladin so I'm searching how to build a deck around it. Will not having 3 swamp make it inconsistent? What is that "N" rarity spell other than Treasures?
Somebody suggested Red-Eyes Slash Dragon, since it could at least deal with Crystal Conclave. You could try that if you have that card. Maybe you could also just put 2~3 cards that could chain and destroy Crystal Conclave and call it a day though. The other N card is Pot of Benevolence: it shuffles 2 cards from the GY back to deck.
Ok thanks, I'm just worried since those 3 UR Swamps are unreachable for me as of the moment. I guess the Pot brings back important cards from grave if you discard it with paladin? I don't have RESD yet. I think I'll pass this deck for now. It's not good if I can't deal with that annoying Conclave.
I think Pot of Benevolence is for stopping Jesse from decking himself out. I guess you could use it for yourself too, but Jesse would deck out before you for sure. I'm pretty sure the pot is optional. I don't think you need 3 Swamps. What you need is to get out Dark Paladin plus having a card to counter Crystal Conclave as early as possible.
