1. Synchro is from 5Ds, a better series than ZEXAL
2. Synchro doesn't need something like removing 1 XYZ material to activate effects.
3. Normally, synchro materials go to graveyard and can immediately be used (or abused)

TLDR: Synchro > XYZ

I like both. The series only got much worse when they introduced Pendulum summons and a silly master rule that made them totally OP.

Best summon is Ritual summon. The game was really good back then before they introduced that OP fusion summon.

They both come around Pegasus arc in original yugioh, fusion was some chapters earlier indeed.

Well, boomers may remember the very early tcg when relinquished decks had some use. But, yes. Ritual mechanic become actually good after gx era with the introduction of Demise, king of Armageddon.

Not really, some xyz monsters can be better than synchro monsters
To summon them, you don't need tuner monster, you only have to get same level monster, and some xyz monsters have OP effect, that's why you can find them on TCG banlist

yes it's esthetically better, usage wise it's not, generic rank 4 will always be better to summon, They just don't create generic monster that would be too strong.
