I normally say that it is just that the player is the problem, not in this case; infernities are just bad and fragile even when running more than 10 traps.
It seems your version relies too much on having an Infernity in hand to discard with Life Barrier/Rainbow. If you don't start with it, having to discard wiht your trap and then discarding 2 cards for the skill means you will only have 1 card in your hand. You need 2 cards in your hand for the OTK most of the time: Launcher/mirage and a Backrow Removal
You also only have 3 cards to deal with backrow for your OTK. Considering how Infernities are vulnerable to staple traps, I'd suggest you add more copies of backrow removal cards. Cosmis Cyclone, Trap Stun, even Spiritualism are good choices.
I'd also suggest trying to stall with cards that don't require you to discard and reduce your hand even further. Floodgate/Canadia helps dealing with problematic monsters, but are vulnerable to Backrow removal.
Damage Diet is a great card to survive, as it halves all damage you take for that turn and doesn't require a discard. However, sometimes you won't have enough LP for Cosmic after.
Heat Wave is one of the best cards to stall for a turn, but is can be useless if you're going second and your opponent already built their board of monsters.
You could also change to the Kuriboh stall build. It is more consistent and has more room for backrow removal, but you have to be careful with Winged Kuriboh against decks that can remove it without destroying (Dragunity), use OG Kuriboh too
I tried using floodgates, didn't workthey always got destroyed/banished before I even use them. At least the survival ones don't go to waste if they get hit by cosmic.
I also ran more backrow hate for a while with no success, I found myself tons of time going first with only backrow hate in hand then I'd just get otk.
Extra deck seems fine.
But yeah, give the Kuriboh version a try. As I said before, it gives you more room for backrow removal. Also, you can summon Black Rose Dragon using Kuriboh in that version of the deck.
