So an opponent was using a gladiator beast deck against my gladiator beast deck. They attacked my beast and I activated impenetrable attack allowing me to keep my monster. They summoned gladiator beast murmillo and destroyed my gladiator beast immediately. I do the same thing to other opponents and they get the option to use they’re gladiator beast effect before my murmillo’s effect destroys it. Why is that?
Sounds like Player's Turn privilege? ...but in a weird way. They way you are describing it...sounds like a Search-Deck monster effect like Masked Dragon activating in a Chain. However, no GB effect acts as such except Test Ape, and we all know Ape gives them no effect.
It happened again. I have two GB on my side don’t the field. They attacked into a face down GB I have, I use mirror wall and they don’t destroy it. They’re GB effects go first and they summon murmillo, then they destroy my GB without it giving me the option to use my gb effect as a chain to their murmillo. When I do the exact same thing. I activate murmillo effect, but somehow they’re Gb
Their GB goes back into the deck and they summon another GB monster. Instead of it being destroyed by my Murmillo effect. I hope that explained it better, I really don’t know how that happens.
There is only one possible thing why that happen, that because of the effect of imp-attack. Imp-attack first effect make your opponent monster can't be destroyed by battle or card effect,. So this is where you should play carefully,. You can't destroy opponents GB using mermillo while your opponent already active first effect of imp-attack to that monster and thats why their GB is not destroyed
Hmmm...still seems like there's something missing here as PTP, Player Turn Privilege, still means your monsters chain first & the way you're describing it is like a monster gaining an effect for destroyed by battle, then a chain from a monster who WAS destroyed by battle. Then, ofc your effect wouldn't go off first, or should I say Resolve 1st, allowing them to get a new monster b4 your effect.
The opponent would've needed some kind of card to prevent their monster's destruction to avoid Murmillo's eff & get a new monster. Like this other Anon is saying, are you sure the opponent didn't use Impenetrable Attack or something before either their Attack resolved or chained to your Murmillo eff? It would have to have been because the GB style doesn't play like normal effects gained by battle.
They simply attached into my card I summon murmillo and activate its effect but instead of destroying the monster I target they shuffle they’re card onto the deck and get wither GB
So I activated imperial attack so that my monster isn’t destroyed. They end the battle phase and my card activated first, I summon murmillo, activate its effect, target their card and instead of destroyed by it, they get to shuffle it into their deck and draw another GB. They had no spells or traps prior to attacking.
...ok, dudes, there are still NO GB CARDS that can return back into the deck in response to being targeted after a battle. Legit ZERO of them. The situations you guys are describing are legit impossible, not without some kind of outside interference. Next time this happens, I HIGHLY suggest you take every card played into account when activating GB effects. If this continues, submit a report.
