I'm tired ok komoney releasing half archetype what's the point of trying these new decks if your missing valuable cards. When you get wrecked by a completed cyber angel deck. Where is brillant fusion or gen knight fusion. Where is volcanic scatter shot. They have to do better.

Primal Burst is literally the only box that contains premade decks rather than random cards. However, these premade decks are half-assed in order to get players to invest more $ in the next boxes to complete their deck(s) from Primal Burst.

I'm surprised they released so many archetypes at once. But seeing how Jurracs, the least represented new archetype here, are very functional, I think they pulled it off well enough. They probably could have held off on, say, Volcanics and Cloudians for another set, but eh.

You should rephrase that to the only "main box". Because miniboxes have done this in the past. "blade of spirit" (six samurais), "dawn of destiny" (Fire kings, naturia), "Echoes of Silence" (silent magician, Ultimate Insect). PB definitely isn't "literally the only one".

I really don't think ANY box that is available is going to give you a full competitive deck. CA still requires you to reset a big box four times for your sonic birds and senjus. You are gonna have to spend gems or money eventually, thats how Konami makes money lol. They are a company after all

You can build a solid GB deck without reseting a single box. eCon, Anubis and Etaqua are free cards. Impenetrable Attack and all GB cards are in the 8th box (and you don't really need 2 laqari). Without reseting and spending gems in another box, you have already all the monsters you need and 7 back rows (at least 10 are needed: floodgate for example).

They don't release the key cards on purpose to keep the power level of the decks at a moderate level. I think this is a good thing to do, I don't want Duel Links to go to the power level of the actual TCG

I know that. But without the key card, what's the purpose releasing >6 archetypes in a big box? For example: LS that mill yourself to death in 3 turns, and without their signature dragon. Why would us want to waste gems and build a 🔥 deck? Let's be real. They do this for money. That's all.

I agree that some archetypes are missing essential cards to be competitive (LS for example), others are not competitive enough to reach KOG but maybe fun to play : Jurrac, Gems, Cloudian, Volcanic... and Dark World is competitive enough, even though it's quite expensive...

... But yes, there are two reasons imo : don't make the game unbalanced by releasing OP cards (and they missed this point with CA, or some skills like Mindscan and 3DS Ninja) ; and of course try to earn money by dispatching essential cards in different boxes. I'm ok with this, they need to make the game profitable. With no adds in-game, and no purchase at the beginning, no surprise here...

Sigh.. I would be less pissed if they release fun decks in mini boxes and competitive decks in main box e.g. glad beasts. GB is exp too. Ik it's business but at least makes it worthwhile for us to spend.

Except if you arent a scrub at this game, you can get every card through gems and patience.

I know patience is something most gamers lack though, so they play for a week and then think they are entitled to the best decks.
When after a week they dont have a full KOG worthy deck they yell:
"THIS GAME IS SO P2P".

Its not, just invest some time.

One got me 2 black chicks
And the other a ceruli and a gem knight sera
So I must be a p2p person now.
I laugh I got to kog and I qualified in the wcs2017 semifinals as a f2p
