14th Main Box: Gaia Genesis

NICE! (72 hour promotion) But a question: How did I get these cards with the recent increase in the price of the pack (promotions) and 60% of the falling gems in the game? I wonder in countries like Japan that it should be cheap to buy the packs, with whom they will play when most people stop playing. Konami, or will you expect people to make drastic decisions how to stop playing to make your game cheaper? As the company cheapens its game to make it more popular, it makes it 40% more expensive.

Its economics they know there base dieing so they increase price to keep the player that are paying at watever price they same while still making there money at the same rate in the beginning

That doesn't seem like a very smart strategy. The reason why they got so many players from different areas of the world was because the big attraction of this game is it being listed as a f2p mobile app that even players with poor quality internet or who are prohibited from making online transactions can enjoy. If they only want p2w, their playerbase will most likely be reduced significantly.

Honestly Konami doesn't care. They are a Japanese company and the Japanese are willing to spend LOTS of money on mobile games. Even if the rest of the world quits, the game will still go on cuz the Japs are still willing to pay for this game.

Smart and konami doesn't fit together. Come on they are one company who takes 90% of completed MGS:PP, repackaged it, and sell it off as another full price *new* MGS game.

Heck, they even got so smart that they selling players new game slot for freaking 5$

My only explanation why they do not care about players leaving (either f2p or p2w) and keep increasing prices and decreasing gems is because they already got a new game in the works and are slowly phasing this one out.

Exactly, the strategy behind it is contradictory.
And there is more, at this point it is risky to say that our account will value spending money in the game due to firm firmly attacking F2P players. This policy of Konami seems like a self-sabotage of the game itself (again) and once people lose credibility in the company's policies related to DL, the game will be towards a slow death.
Brazilian Guy
Look at this current event, nor the bad cards of drop we are getting more due to shortage of coins, imagine gems, which before we gather 500-800 gems throughout the event, farm was very difficult, imagine now that if you get 200 gems will be much luck. And what about 200 gems in this game?
A lot of people have not yet realized how Konami is doing its best to keep DL down with its autistic policies

Like I said before Konami doesn't give a 🔥. They're probably like, 'Nah you can fcuk right off and we will still be rolling in money thanks to the Japanese'

I don't follow your initial argument: You ask how to obtain the cards if the price of the deal (72 hr promo) has increased and the gems have been reduced...but you can't buy the promo with gems. Wouldn't this be a moot point? You can't mix the currencies either, so they are unrelated in the sense that the promo is meant for a certain part of the community.

The promo applies to both Box types from beginning to end, so the Gem recourse has already been given at them time of release (500 gem) per Box, the F2P community has been served their share in the past. It's a small gesture, I'll admit, but it's just a small sample compared to the amount of gems you have at your disposal as a F2P player.

A sales promotion is meant to spice up purchases, so a F2P playerbase will not see any type of sales promotion directed towards them because they do not spend money, it would literally be like trying to sell a baseball to a fish. The only 'promos' any F2P community will receive are Events, which are in constant motion in DL.

Granted, the Events have been declining and the gems are becoming scarce, but that doesn't mean that you won't ever be able to purchase new sets, it's just going to slow down your 'purchases' as a F2P player. The game will continue to be F2P but micro transactions will continue to be favored as they are what keep the game alive.

Sales promotions targeted to F2P can make sense if Konami wanted to remove a massive number of gems from the game at once. (Perhaps because they plan on introducing a new feature that costs gems, or the like.)

Well, the repetitive promos are quite cheap so I doubt F2P would be interested in buying if they haven't already. I do think they will be changing up the currencies and their uses as you hinted, we may see new features soon enough, I just hope it's not too drastic...I've seen game markets completely flip over new systems being introduced. It'd be nice to have a card Marketplace though.
