Yugioh itself as a game has a very bad design. The way the nerf decks is by banning the card making it so you cant use it anymore. Look and the invoker deck sure it's too strong in it's time but people used hard earned gems or money for those card that suddenly they cant use anymore. Off course it's all about business.
Without fail, they are all designed around built-in obsolescence to force players to continually spend money to "invest" in new cards.
Duel Links is even worse than the printed model, because your cards aren't physical assets and will cease to exist when Konami pulls the plug on the game server.
If all f2p stop playing the game, the game would be a ghost town that in lower rank you wouldn't find a connection and has to duel with bots the game make. If you used to play smaller online game without much f2p you would know. That would make for new players becoming less interested in the game and unlikely to spend, then the game would declined and closed off in the end when the old whale left.
If f2p cannot win games and that is your own problem because you simply don't know how to play that game correctly. I am f2p for 2 years and I always have meta decks. I never spend a single cent in this game and I have a complete BE decks. You are not going to complain much just because you have spent your gems on trash packs. If you cannot spend your gems correctly then you deserved to lose.
Nothing wrong if you have spent your free gems on Galactic Origin & Fortress of Gear just because you love all the Heroes. But you must know that most of the people spent their free gems on Photon of Galaxy & Sign of Harpies. It is like the US government is giving you $1000 in stimulus, stupid one waste everything for no good reason, smart one buy bitcoin to invest. No complain for idiots.
