I think this deck should be moved to at least tier 3. I dont have the best decks but i can hold my own in ranked. But I have never, not once, beaten a Noble Knight deck.
The deck is really prone to any kind of disruption:
- Play a backrow removal card before you summon a monster to waste their Drystan's effect.
- Use Canadia to flip Drystan face down so he loses his equips.
- Use Canadia to prevent Medraut summoning Drystan.
- Chalice Drystan.
- Use CC to banish his equips.
- Ram into Drystan with Onslaught on the field to banish him.
to counter NK in first few turns, you'll require lots of those "TRIPLE C": Cosmic, Chalice and Canadia
1) Balance NK usually draws GoNK and Destiny in first turn. NK perfectly sets up on their first turn, so even if you use Galazy Cyclone and the likes, you're still vulnerable on your next turn. CC is a bit more potent tho, if NK user only has one equip on starting turn.
2) if NK goes first, it's a big chance that both Medraut and Drystan are already in the field. Canadia will have to make extra effort since flipping either one will only transfer the equips to another one. If Canadia user goes first, then it might be a big problem for NK user.
3) Having a lot of intensive backrow banishing and removal means you are missing out on a lot of support cards for your chosen archetype build. Even Phoenix-Yubel struggles to it because NK can outright destroy a field spell as early as the opponent's first turn. My personal opinion is that banishment is not as effective as Parasite Paracide, or DNA surgery against NKs.
4) Alas, NK only needs a good setup on its first turn. With Masked and BEWD decks roaming around, CC usage was decreased a lot.
If NK was able to set up, then it's a very FAST and NON-INTERACTIVE deck to play against. Any deck that requires a monster to be summoned to start a play will struggle against NK. It can also conveniently check two backrow in one turn, easily executing a board wipe.
