It would seem there is some rivalry between F2P and P2W players in this chat.
Anyway, as a F2P player I seem to have a much much easier time playing against Shirainui Grass than against Dark Magician and Element sabers.
I guess decks that relies massively on powerful generic backrow cards like Wall of Disruption and Drowning Mirror Force are more susceptible to Shirainui Squiresaga.
Just wait and be patient. Banlist won't magically be produced just a few minutes after KC Cup ended, they need time to decide which cards to hit.
I mean, sure with Darklords it's easy, just semi-limit Ixchel and Nasten then limit Ukoback or Amdusc, but time and testing is definitely needed for other dominating decks.
As some guys said, if you are having a hard time playing against Shirainui Grass it means that you are using too much generic backrow like Drowning, Floodgate, Treacherous Trap hole, Dimensional Prison and Wall of D.
If you built a deck with more originality you will find out that Shirainui ain't ban worthy.
As others have already said,
Stop asking to ban Shirainui. If you lose against Shirainui Grass then stop using cards like Drowning, Floodgate, Treacherous Trap hole, Dimensional Prison and Wall of D and you will suddenly start winning against them.
If you are not skilled enough then you may go on using those cards at the expense of consistently losing against Shirainui.
Shiranui will be limited whether you like it or not. The reason is that you are all going crazy asking for them to be spared and konami wants to promote balance and they want new packs to actually sell, which won't happen because you like them too much and are unlikely to change without banlist.
Maybe you will be spared by next banlist, but don't hope to use your shiranui the same forever.
I agree with the other guys, Shirainui is very balanced.
It is only strong against generic predictable backrow heavy decks.
It is easy to win against them as long as you don't use the same cards like most other guys.
The reason why Dark Magician decks are dominating the meta is because they don't even have to use generic backrows. Hence they win vs Shirainui more often than lose.
shiranui will get hit tho ppl sayin' no are literally 🔥 or a dumbo whether its grass or pure built it is way powercreep, the mobs synchro effect are surprisingly strong af and in GY either, except if the meta wants u use skill such as seals tomb, esabers wit x3 floodgate, x3 canadian lol also cybernetic overflow you're not gettin away boi :)
It would be dumb to nerf Shirainui since Konami isn't planning on nerfing Dark Magician anytime soon.
Anyway, on the forums, many F2P casual decks have an easier time playing against Shirainui than against any Quintet stall deck. So Shirainui won't be limited anytime soon either.
I managed to get a lot of co-workers into Duel Links due to their childhood nostalgia. They paied a lot to get a quick start in the game and build beatstick decks that were the most common in their childhood, but once they started encountering Quintet based decks their nostalgia took a hard blow. They all quit Duel Links not long after.
That's rubbish, shiranui will be nerfed because of accessibility to f2p and popularity, and I don't think it will take long because few people are using ninjas, melodious or gladiators so they are limiting shiranui to sell more.
They don't have to listen to your wishes, if anything you're giving them more reason to limit them.
Well, I did say the people complaining about Quintet are non-KoG.
Also, many people who play YuGiOh due to NOSTALGIA are from the 1st season anime and play classic beatstick decks that have no answer against Quintet stall.
Those guys represent a decent part of the community who spend cash. And those same people are leaving Duel Links.
Hence the disappointing growth of the game.
Now I understand why the game has such disappointing figures.
Usually the yugioh brand is much more successful.
It is true that no one is coming back to this game due to nostalgia of season 1. My friends' favourite card is baby dragon. I managed to get them into duel links but once they found out baby dragon decks became useless they had no reason to play any more.
I know how you feel man.
That baby dragon was like the most popular monster in my elementary school.
Anyway, the newer generation are not at all interested in anything yugioh related. Only older people who feel nostalgic toward the brand still play it.
Such a shame that the few people who might come back dislike duel links because of balance/nostalgia breaking cards like Quintet for beginners.
Sometimes it looks like Konami is trying to 🔥 its own Yu-Gi-Oh franchise with wtf unbalanced cards.
I never used cash to buy cards but seeing how things are going I'm happy I didn't buy anything. Newer cards are just so much more powerful that they decrease the value of older cards.
The game doesnt have disappointing figures. Its sales have increased. And in the card game its the same thing, cards become more powerful over time. Some of you guys complain too much. Older cards are still good depending on what they are, look at some of the older cards that become more relevant in newer decks in the future.
