Real clever. Have every player structure their deck around avoiding one card... or it could be on the banned list and people won't use it for strategyless wins
Yes, because WoD is the only card that exists designed to be activated during the battle phase to inconvenience you. Unlike, say, cards like Mirror Force, Windstorm of Equata, Curse of Anubis, Super-Rush Headlong, Enemy Controller, Draining Shield etc which do not exist!
Are you that much of a noob that you don't run ANY backrow removal whatsoever? There are entire decks designed around dealing with backrow (Ancient Gear, Phoenix) and tons of splashable cards that easily counter WoD and other battle-phase orientated spells and traps out there. Grow up and l2p.
What deck do you play that you can't deal with WoD? Most metadecks have some way of dealing with it.
Hazy: BR
REZ: Storm (although REZ is indeed one of the weaker decks against WoD)
AG: crushes it
GB: tries to attack into defense position anyways and then tags out
Dinos: 3x AMA
Phoenix: rips it apart
Burn: dgaf
I use backrow removals but the truth is you cannot account for all of it in every type of deck. Eventually, unless your whole deck is about preventing backrow stuff, your opponent is going to get a trap off. That one trap should not be so overpowered with no sort of consequence. Even mirror wall makes you pay 2000 lp to keep the effect going.
Mirror Force isn't in the game. Windstorm is limited to 1 card. Curse of Anubis doesn't open you up for damage and is situational. Super-Rush targets 1 monster. Enemy Controller targets 1 monster. Draining Shield targets 1 monster. Even Mirror Wall targets 1 monster and that's an UR. This card is way stronger than champion's vigilance. No reason it shouldn't be limited.
Seriously, I'm so shocked this card isn't limited. The broken part about it is that the effect is continuous with no cons. Swarming decks are completely useless with more than 1 copy of this card. And it's absurd to build entire decks around a single card and when you don't happen to get a good hand to take out the backline then it's just a loss.
The only problem running trap jammer is that it adds extra cards to the deck that really shut down your deck if it's very combo heavy. It will help a lot to add one or two trap jammers but in most cases it's not viable to have one because they can have anywhere from 1-3 of these cards which is why people are kind of trying to get this card limited to one.
Its also absurd to for example, have to build decks to counter fur hires which can swarm and otk, is it not?
If you fill up your front row and just blindly attack without a second thought then thats your problem. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Such is life. L2P
