Yes it is. Tons of filler, a lot of it was just throwing 🔥 on the wall and seeing what stuck (Especially in the first season), no originality at all (Anything that wasn't filler was a scene by scene playout of what happened in the Manga after Death-T, with very few exceptions), and Yugi is the second worst Main Protagonist in the series (Worst is Yuma from Zexal).

I think the people here that likes GX or later gens are "ACTUALLY CHILDREN" because the original were watched by older fans, so can't blame these children's ignorance, they probably didn't even watch that much of the original

And being that the original is an older series before gx's time of course it can get fillers and still the best of all other generations of yugioh after the original.

It's like saying Digimon Adventures 02, Tamers and Frontiers are better than the original series D.A. most of us endeared and loved so much. Sequels can be very excellent when it comes to story/plot progression, but that is rare. YGO's Egyptian mythology is by far the most fascinating. This opinion is coming from a histo-philo major student.
