Is there a real reason why obelisk can get targeted by a sphere kuriboh when kuriboh can only target one person at a time? I feel like there’s other cards that can get by these damn loopholes (I am aware cards like wall of disruption, mirror wall & windstorm of etaqua work on gods, etc.). But these guys are GODS, I feel like they shouldn’t be that easy to counter!
Sphere Kuriboh isn't targeting. It's only when a monster attacks therefore not really targeting. Things like Paleozoic Canadia and Hallucinogenic are targeting. Mirror Wall isn't targeting. It's monsters that attack therefore non targeting and Windstorm of Etaqua isn't targeting as it's all monsters on your opponent's field not just 1.
Cards that only affect a single attacking monster CAN target. (Enchanted Javelin, Draining Shield and Mask of Weakness do for example.) Sphere Kuriboh doesn't, however.
