How does that even relates? There's no other generic backrow at limit 3, floodgate doesn't conflict with any other anti pendulum card you decide to use.
At most the limit 3 is only so stall decks become less of a pain, cheat draw + 3 boxer veil + 3 floodgate = c@ncer
Both Floodgate and Cosmic Cyclone got limited 3 because they are a hard counter to any pendulum deck. Limiting both helps Konami to make some garbage pendulum boxes look good.
The only relevant deck running Floodgate was Odion Shiranui, and after Endless Trap Hell got nerfed no one played Odion anymore. No other reason for Konami to hit Floodgate except they want to sell Pendulum. People would quickly realize that early Pendulum boxes were so trash if triple Floodgate + CC were allowed.
Nothing to do with Shiranui. It is already a forgotten deck after the deck got nerfed so many times. Unlimiting Floodgate will not make it a tier deck either. What 🔥 people the most is they limit both Cosmic and Floodgate jsut to sell Pedulum. Fcking Komoney.
