So umm I started playing this morning, the game gave me 2k gems and 1 UR dream ticket, I've checked some deck on internet and the cheapest okay-ish deck I could find can go up to 15k gems....... What does the game expects me to do while I hoard gems? Play with cards like hitotsume giant for half a year? (I'm being serious)

U don't know? U can buy premade decks from shop instead of playing unga bunga for your first week in the game. Don't be a filthy f2p and grab the structure decks whenever you can! :)

You can actually buy the decks with gems, but buying multiples of the same deck requires money.

^^ so, is this just another p2w gacha like many others?

^ I checked and yeah I can buy 2 of different decks (the game gave me only 2k)
*Is it a good doing so? They all seem like very different strategies
*Are they good at 1 copy?
For what I checked most decks need 3 copies of the UR card

Buy 1 of the newest blue eyes structure deck then use your dream tickets to get 1 white stone and 1 sage, fill with enemy controllers and assault wyverns
It isn't even a half cooked blue eyes but it should be enough to get you out of gold. From there on endure 6 months of hoarding gems

No, buying random and 1 copy of SD is a terrible idea if they don't have a staple. Either buy 3 or none

Or you could get the red eyes structure and get their support through rank duel tickets.

And if you’re feeling lucky, try to get Power of the Guardians and or a metalmorph.

It won’t give you a 100% win rate, but it’s cheap and effective.

I've been investigating and I think I'll pass, it is just too much time to complete 1 deck with gems only and the boxes are just too big, building a deck by money alone is too expensive, costs far more than what I was willing to spend.

Thats the main reason why every youtuber quits. Same boring copy paste event. Big box always changing the meta so that you don't have time to finish your investment on your decks. Most of all prepare to drop 1000$ every month if you want to keep up with the meta.

i wish this game gave more initial gems so you can reroll accounts. around 5k so you can test your luck with a minibox. i know you can't build a deck with that but at least you keep rerolling until you are around halfway to complete a deck.
with the 2k they give now, even with the best luck, you can't go beyond like 1/6 of a deck

^that happened some time ago the gems and initial rewards were nerfed
I think it is so you don't create a new account every time you want to play a deck they keep spamming you with the blue eyes structure deck every second
Like they are saying spend or gt fo

There was event at that time, most likely.
However, the total amount of gems you get every year is still roughly the same, they didn't really nerf it.

As Yugi likes to say, it's not the card rarity,price , or brokenness that matters.

Only the way you use it matters.

Hitotsume Giant beatdown based decks can win world tournaments if you are skilled enough. Even against 3 pot of greed, raigeki, etc..
