I do not agree. There's some more strategy to it than you may think.
Like, keep the castle and go for a weaker attack until you draw something better. Or use it and hope for the best. Ancient Gear Drill is also a handy card if you know when to use it
I never got past bronze, after having enough luck in the Event, I already beated a gold and platinum rank player in the KC Cup.
