We need more gems and D-heroes plz. Can there exist a state where all card arctypes are useful? Cyber angels are now basically trashed feels so bad to see some good and fun decks are just a joke now
There definitely could be if Konami wasn't so profit oriented. There could be a state where Konami innovates all archetype both old and new so they all could compete competitively and based on skill, instead of always introducing a new meta archetype that is OP and then nerfs it afterwards to make them buy another. If this could be possible, we could have the world of the anime and manga for real.
Some cards will always be better than others. It's never going to be perfectly balanced. There will ALWAYS be a best deck. Yeah, Fur Hires probably power-crept things a little too much, but expecting there not to be anything better than the previous set is dumb.
Yeah, but they could continue adding more support for older archetypes in new boxes. You would still buy new packs, and it would be a lot more balanced.
Instead, they release what they had planned of that particular archetype in a single box and then discontinue it completely, and makes you feel like you've wasted gems/money.
From what I understand, this is because of some European internet regulation, but Konami could do something to bypass it if they wanted to? (I don't know about the whole situation.)
You realize gradually introducing new cards to an archetype over time ends up being MORE expensive than doing it in large chunks, right? The way Gem-Knights were split over 2 sets is already pretty expensive. But imagine if they were over 3 or 4, with SR+ cards in each.
At least it motivates you to hold on to your deck and you don't end up feeling like you've wasted your money/gems on useless old trash.
Plus, it would provide for IMMENSELY more diverse Ranked ladder.
Finally, you could plan and skip boxes which don't benefit your particular deck, instead of being forced to get the newest meta decks every single month because it completely runs over everything b4.
