You can't outside Counter Traps like Tools of the Bandit, or evasive maneuvers such as shifting your playstyle into Fusion Summons to bypass this card's effect. GameA acknowledges it as well, putting NO "CONS" for the stated card stats or description. IMHO the real counter for this card, is anger management. You faced it, dealt with it, tilted by it, failed at it, studied it, and finally moved on.
The obvious answer would be counter traps.
Or construct your deck in a way that losing one monster doesn't hurt you too much. Simply tribute it for either a higher level monster or with Enemy Controller etc. There's no definitive method other than having counter traps ready, you just gotta use your creativity.
Once Floodgate is activated, is there any cards that can allow me to make use of my now permanently SET card? I was thinking that maybe Link Summoning could do the trick but I’m unsure. Maybe a card that allows me to summon as long as 3 mobs are on the field?
