copy plant isn't useless. Have a level 3 monster + copy plant + level 1 monster (if it's a plant you can use 'seed of deception' to special summon a lv 1)
You wipe out both boards
So you can destroy all your opponents set cards without any risk of traps side-effects like wild tornado on top of that if you still have cards in you hand ypu can set traps or summon if you can and attack directly
