Sylvan: deck recipe [Nov 17]

Magmus
Probably the most broken deck in the game right now. Very easy to excavate all the cards you need which allows you to destroy monsters and spells/traps. That, and the fact that sending World Carrotweight Champion and Rose Lover to the graveyard allow you to swarm the field too. If that wasn't enough, adding Hey, Trunade! to this deck prevents any WoD or floodgate against you, not like it matters since Rose Lover makes the summoned monster immune to traps for a turn. Extremely consistent and interesting deck to play. It is very easy to use the likes of Magical Merchant to wipe out your opponents field and put Rose Lover and World Carrotweight Champion in the graveyard to swarm the field with 2 1900 beaters and 1 2600 beater which allows you to further excavate a card from your deck, and this all happens until you hit a valuable spell card such as Dark Core, Hey, Trunade! or Monster Reincarnation from your deck which you can then use to further cement your victory. Rose Lover's versatility means that it is beneficial to discard her as part of a card effect from Dark Core or Monster Reincarnation which allows you to setup up a powerful summon whilst also allowing you to banish a monster or receive an excavated monster from your graveyard, which is useful for bringing back a Hermittree or Gigaplant back if they were excavated and then using Rose Lover's effect to summon them. This deck is extremely powerful against all types of decks and anyone that says this deck is overhyped are wrong, I feel that some of these cards will get limited in the future. Makes the climb from Legend 3 extremely easy.

Deck that is so easily facerolled by other decks is far from "most broken deck in the game", so I pretty much debunked your overhyped wall of text, after you got winstreak vs unaware ppl and seasonal Plat to Legend noobs. Is decent deck and nice addition to DL but is far from OP, does not require nerf.

I read this entire comment chain and I do not understand your point bud. In any situation where CA goes second with a good hand. YOU WILL LOSE with your Sylvan deck. All the CA player has to do is summon Dakini and your monster is removed from the field and you get 1 shotted.

BUT, if the CA goes first then there is more of a chance of winning with your Sylvan deck.

Also, you haven't done much to prove that Sylvan can counter CA in the first turn...

Also, if both of you are so confident in your beliefs why don't you guys just duel and prove who is actually correct? Cause all I am seeing right now is talk and no action or evidence...

i read the comments too what i can say that this deck is fine because is very vulnerable to shut down in first turn... thanks to fresh sylv players i reached kog this season with brofiend emperor with no effort... just keep deleting their monsters with brofiend effect so they cant flip up.

Why don't you people settle stuff with children card game? The loser stick rotten wood to their ass.

Sylvan deck plays like Phoenix deck. All you'll need to do to avoid setting all your backrow cards and monsters on the turn he set the mushroom. They'll end up destroying their own backrow cards and their own monsters if they can't find any Target in your field.

AK-47 Gold --> No because you can choose to activate Sylvan effects... If your opponent does not have enough monsters or S/T cards on the field, you can decide to not activate their effect.

Then they just wasted the Sylvan effect. Do the same again on next turn till they run out of Sylvan effects.

Overall. They still destroy their own monsters on the field. Let's say you only set one monster and a backrow card. Then they excavated 5 cards that destroys card. They will be force to Target their own if they couldn't fine targets on your field. There is no way you can decide to deactivate the effect once they started already excavating the cards.

@AK-47 : No. I've already excavated a Sylvan Marshalleaf without any monster on my opponent field, and I did not need to destroy my monster.

...The only two Sylvans with mandatory effects are the two that can never really backfire (Hermitree and Mikorange.) Every other one, in particular Marshalleaf and Komushroomo, are optional, so they can just choose not to use them. Also, even if they were mandatory and they milled 3 Marshalleaf from their Merchant, they could just have all 3 target your 1 monster anyway. >.>

AK-47 : Marshalleaf "You can target 1 monster on the field; destroy that target". You CAN. Not "Target"

you just played against people who destroy their own monsters because they are beginners, cant read, and click always yes, without even knowing certain monster names. everytime monster is excavated to grave you have choice to use its effect or not. lol i just played against a sea guy who tried to use effect of abyss warrior on my insect queen ended up returning his own monster and surrendering :P
