Gravity Axe prevents opponents from changing the battle position of their monsters. Big Bang Attack does piercing damage to enemies so you don't have to worry about man eater bugs.
To be fair I also got unlucky that I did not draw a de-spell or twister sooner. With four of those, my deck is 20% of anti-spell cards. Drawing four cards plus my first draw that means I should, on average, always draw one of those cards right away. Cup of Ace is added for situations such as that.
use shooting star bow ceal instead of block defense to deal direct damage, especially in case the face down card is man-eater bug. You are leaving too much to chance without the Ceal bow.
