Duel Links World Championship [2017]

I guess DKayed creativity stopped at the qualifiers. Using toon decks and a mill deck and looking unimpressive
anoymous
He wudda run a red eyes deck if he had insight. I only have one and took a while reaching KoG with that
Thecomeup
How do you play toons twice and lose both...
<< Anonymous(Thecomeup)
Anoymous
because toons are insanely inconsistent? idk what you mean lol. they're skilless as hell but insanely inconsistent, much like tea burn
<< Anonymous
Anoymous
No, toon is really inconsistent. And beat red-eye. It's just that the guy who use red-eye tech storm in unlink the meta. That toon and mill deck win red-eye usually.
<< Anonymous
Anoymous
really consistent*
Anoymous
Actually i'am using mill deck to reach KoG. It can beat nepthys,REBD, ice barrier even toon. Dkayed just run out of luck i think
<< Anonymous
Anoymous
lol if u actually think toons are consistent at all then i suggest you go actually play a game with them

Anoymous
Toons with restart can bring out field spell with toon monster first turn every time while I use magic reflector. If we fight with the deck without spell removal as non-variant red-eyes and can replace 3 magic reflector with anything else it's more consistent. But there're other deck in rank with spell removal. It's consistent with bringing the field and monster out.

Anoymous
Yes, they can consistently get out a Toon and TK, but can they consistently win? Not at all lol
<< Anonymous
Anoymous
It depends on what you mean for 'consistent'. I say it's consistent hand and consistent with red-eyes without removal spell/trap from the start. I don't see anything wrong there. That's why Dkayed guy choose it. I'm also state it before you that it's not win any kind of deck-And also after SRH/
Heavy Knight of the Flame come out it's countered which I win toons a lot with these two.

Anoymous
You just flip the word about consistently here. Normally, it is about starting hand and how to set-up your own strategy as Venus deck. It is not mean you have to win in the end.
<< Anonymous
Anoymous
ok the deck is inconsistent at winning a game at yugioh, which is why it has done terrible in every game it has been used in so far
<< Anonymous
Anoymous
Yes, I don't argue with you there. What I just mean.. Dkayed doesn't lose because he's unlucky with his inconsistent draw by toons deck. The draw clearly follow his plan. It's just his choosing toons to counter meta red-eyes which makes him loose. Because his opponent tech some card to counter that plan. Get it?
<< Anonymous
Anoymous
If you need to ignore the fact and protect someone.. oh inconsistent deck and he's unlucky here... go on. But if you just need to say toons is 🔥 with many decks, I agree.

Anoymous
toons are not good in this meta and i think this has shown that lol. not garbage but very unreliable and i have no idea why anyone would decide to use toons in this tournament
<< Anonymous
Anoymous
It beats meta red-eyes deck without spell removal, he bet on that. Don't forget that he's Duel Links 'Meta' guys,
Anoymous
thats channel duel links meta guys, lol. noobs player. using inconsistent deck in turnament

People who say Toon's are not consistent don't have a clue what they are talking about!

Toon deck can be anything!

The toon deck Dkay used was built for speed!

Dkay added fast searching + special summoning cards to make the deck play fast.

Most toon meta decks follow the same deck lay out.

However, it isn't the only way to play Toon's competitively.

no theyre very inconsistent and bad in this meta. this tournament showed it. i have no idea how you can argue that toons are consistent or good.
<< Anonymous(Player J)

Decks which are built for speed have terrible fall back plan's + grind game.

They will lose if the plan they are doing is foiled or if the game drags out.

It doesn't mean Toon's are inconsistent.

It merely means that specific build is functioning as it is designed.

no it is literally a fact that toons do not win consistently.

Fast pace Toon decks are consistent in getting Toon Kingdom.

Fast pace Toon decks are consistent in bringing out a monster.

They are designed this way!

The draw back is they don't have any back up plans if Toon Kingdom dies or if the Toon monster is banished.

You can't call them inconsistent when they are designed to not have a fall back plan!!!

im saying that they are not consistent at winning a game of the yugioh card game. this is a proven fact that they cannot consistenly win a game of the yugioh card game. we are playing the yugioh card game, if you did not know that. there is a reason why toons have not won in this tournament. because they do not consistently win. please continue being wrong and acting like you know 🔥 though

If you want them to be able to handle set backs, You should design the deck differently.

The toon decks can have a grind game!

You don't have to use "Restart".
You can use "Toon World".

or

You can add toon monsters which are unaffected by the field spell destroying.

or

You can mix in other non-toon monsters which can counter other decks.
<< Anonymous(Player J)
Anoymous
ok you are literally terrible and have no idea what you are talking about
<< Anonymous(Player J)

You are calling an entire archetype inconsistent at winning because of 1 specific deck build!

Are you f-in stupid?

You don't have to play the deck that way jerk off!

The deck can be competitive with out you using all of those stupid tech's.

you know that the only toon currently in the game that does not get destroyed when toon world is destroyed is buster blader, right? and you know that toon buster blader, right? you know that this entire archetype will never be consistent at winning a game of the yugioh card game because of how reliant it is on 1 specific card, right?

You do know that using 3 Path Finder with only 1 search target will lead to dead draws right?

Which means if the duel doesn't end early a Toon player will end up with a dead card at later stages of the duel right?

You do know that a Toon Deck doesn't need to go after 1 specific card right?

Pegasus has a skill called "Toon World" right?

A Toon player could build their deck using "Toon World" skill.

Than they could add "Toon Kingdom" into there deck as an extra layer of protection/back up.

In case, The beginning skill "Toon World" blows up!

"Toon Kingdom" is a very good field spell.
It stops opponents from targeting Toon's.
It can protect Toon's from dieing.

However, A Toon Summon Skull with 2,500 attack with back row protection isn't weak right?

It doesn't need Toon Kingdom to kick another players @ss.

If you have it protected with defensive spells, You will be surprised how much damage a 2,500 monster can do.
