Also in plat myself with this, gave up on the rebirth, put some Mind Controllers. It does well against a lot of the current deck. If you get the right timing on the A counter + Mind control beam, to steal their most buffed 🔥 at the right time, even with just 1 A counter, and then sacrifice it via summon/Enemy controller to take some other 🔥 from them and OTK them with their own cards
Balance with aliens is trash for 3 reasons
1 it limits your chances to start with a cell because your opening hand will have at least 1 trap and 1 monster.
2 it forces you to build a deck with at least 6 trap cards wich makes trechourous trap hole difficult to run, and your better off running something like 8 spells and 4 traps.
3 brick hands featuring A overlord happen way more then you’d thnk
No skill > balance
Literally anyone of these skills will work better:
Baggy sleeves, switcheroo, lifeboost a, spell specialist, no mortal can resist, tie that binds, grit, bandit, beatdown, destiny draw, parasite infestation.
Personally I’ve been having success with baggy sleeves
It's actually quit possible if you have the right tech cards to get to legend at least. Now is still a good time while the meta is relatively balanced.
