I have 7k gems that I need to use, do you think it's worth this box? (I need to use them before the 5ds release)

You can only build a half-assed main box deck with that amount.

Buy mini box or wait till Sept. They launch new box every 3-4 weeks.

Overall i have 17k gems that i could potentially spend in this box but i dont know if i should.

When your gems gonna expire? Based on my experience, considering this is 180 packs box, you need about 12-14k gems to build a complete main box deck.

My gems expiring on 2nd Sept so I'm spending on this box, then save up gems again for next 3 weeks. Together with leftover gems after this box, I could have enough for next mini I think.

I spend more than 15k and still lack cards for Mermail deck, there is a SR i still didnt got

Never spend gems on mainboxes unless you are willing to paybe real money afterwards.
