Yeah we all care about money but there’s a reason why it’s called komoney.
Ever heard a game that doesn’t include save slots and you have to pay for each slot. The game has several endings and the game changing points are in different moments. Yeah that game was a Konami game. Imagine if you had to pay for a save slot in Pokemon or dark souls lol

In terms of Yugioh, Konami is called komoney because when printing OCG cards into TCG, they often bump up the rarity of cards they know are going to be the "chase cards" (as in, the ones people want the most and needs 3 copies of).

Cards that are mere Rare in OCG could be a Secret Rare in TCG for profit reason alone. FYI, Secret Rare is even rarer than Ultra Rare and Super Rare.

And that's without bringing up Short Print.

YGO TCG is famous for the dubious practice of Short Printing, as in, certain cards are intentionally printed in less amount than other cards in the same rarity bracket. Two Ultra Rares for example, don't always have the same chance to be obtained, if one of them is a "chase card", its chance can be much lower than the other due to being Short Printed.

This practice of Short Printing cards benefits them in terms of profit, but I don't really get the details, it's something about the secondary market and the sales of singles vs boxes.

You can enjoy this game without spending any money. And every F2P game follows a similar concept. Some people have just unrealistic expectations when it comes to F2P. It's supposed to be harder to build a decent deck without spending money. Otherwise, nobody would spend money.

Good question, dude. Because Yu-Gi-Oh fan loves komoney. Soon komoney changed into konameh. UR, SR, R, N (even in real life they make ghost rare, whatever) those rating that makes them komoney.

Yeah, I don't have any problem regarding grindy boxes, or cards that can only obtain through premium structure deck. I mean I say 95 percent of the card pools are obtainable entirely through f2p, it's just that getting 2nd or 3rd copy that are UR are kind of a pain.
But I swear to God the RNG is busted! It won't drop me the Iconic UR of the box until the last 10 packs left.
